Our boxing club closed out the year with an excellent final competitive outing at the WBC International European BoxCup in Dover. A huge congratulations goes to Conor O’Keefe and Will Rogers, who both delivered outstanding performances and represented the club with pride.
Will Rogers opened the day with a high-tempo bout against a tough Belgian opponent. It was a close, punch-for-punch contest that could easily have gone either way, but the decision went to Belgium. Will continues to impress during a busy period of amateur boxing competition, and the experience gained here is incredibly valuable for his development as a rising athlete.
Up next was Team Captain and ABA Novice Champion Conor O’Keefe, who continued his undefeated run in 2025 with a dominant points victory. Despite his original opponent withdrawing just 48 hours before the event, Conor stepped up to face a more experienced boxer from the weight above—and controlled the action from start to finish. A brilliant result that highlights Conor’s skill, composure, and momentum going into the new season.
This event marks a strong end to the year for our athletes and our competitive boxing programme.
Onwards and upwards! Training continues as we prepare for a big year ahead.
